Having just completed a Masters in Playwriting at the University of Edinburgh, Rachel is moving more into theatre making as a practice. Her full-length dissertation play, Rave to the Grave, had a professional reading in summer 2024.

With Contemporary Narratives Lab, in 2023 she conceived It’s Criminal, an applied theatre project on the intersection between theatre and journalism, supported by City University. It’s Criminal explored the impact of stereotypical crime reporting on those caught in its orbit - from individual people trapped by their past or by stereotypes to stigmatised neighbourhoods and communities.

In 2021, she collaborated as a journalist with interactive theatre company Coney on a project called Home/Care that looked into the plight of people dependent on care support who were trapped at home during Covid.
